What we do!
-We get to know a family
-We create a box containing 10 activities based on a child's level and interests to match their educational goals
-We send the box in the post to the child's home
-The child completes the activities and let's us know how they have got on
-We assess, plan and make new boxes for the next week
With a focus on core subjects and skill-building, Beacon Boxes caters to children who are Educated Other Than At School
Each box is carefully curated based on the child's passions and academic levels, ensuring that the learning is engaging and relevant. The activities are practical, meaningful and often involve games
Placing the child at the centre of their learning journey
Beacon Boxes empowers them to take charge of their education in a meaningful and personalised way
Each week the box will arrive at the students home with 10 hours worth of fun activities matched to EHCP targets
The number of hours is flexible and may suit children attending an AP that need provision for the 5th day
Meet the Team
We are two specialist teachers aiming to provide a service that supports pupils accessing education outside of school
My name is Gayle Eisen
I am a specialist SEN teacher with over 20 years experience in mainstream and specialist provisions for autism and speech and language needs. I am a qualified and experienced SENCO (NASENCO post graduate award) and have completed a post graduate certificate in ‘Working with children and young people with autism’.

I work as a SEN tutor for children with complex needs including PDA and autism, providing creative and exciting learning opportunities to support with engagement and meet needs.

I am committed to providing bespoke learning for children who have significant challenges with accessing school based learning and I pride myself on my ability to think outside the box and removing barriers to learning.
My name is Helen Handley
My degree was in psychology, I became a teacher and held the role of SENCo for many years. As a family we moved to Hong Kong where I cofounded a business which wrote psycho- educational assessments. Using psychometric tests we identified neurodiversities and supported families, students and schools with their learning.

Now back in the UK, I am passionate about providing education for pupils accessing EOTAS packages. I tutor a number of students with a variety of needs and neurodiversities. I love having the opportunity to really cater to children's interests and passions whilst supporting their educational journeys.

We hope to provide a unique experience for our families, where they feel heard, have choice and can enjoy learning.
